HIV/AIDS continues to spread throughout the world at an alarming rate. The wide spread abuse of human rights and fundamental freedoms associated with HIV/AIDS has emerged in all parts of the world in the wake of the epidemic though human rights have been fundamental to the response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic since the creation of the first global AIDS strategy in 1987.
Since the protection of human rights is essential to safeguard human dignity in the context of HIV/AIDS, our organization is ready to ensure an effective, right-based response to HIV/AIDS by implementing all human rights, civil and political, economic, social and cultural, and fundamental freedoms of all people, in accordance with existing international human rights standards.
Our organization also sees malaria as a bigger threat to humanity and aims at halting and beginning to reverse the incidence of malaria and other major diseases.
